I was born and raised in The Netherlands, and went to university there to obtain my Masters degree in arts (Language and Culture). I first came to the United States as an exchange student at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and later as a children’s ski instructor for Vail Resorts. After this I decided to pursue a career in education and moved to Denver to get my teacher’s licence. During this time, I also started a study in Educational Psychology and am a few classes away from obtaining my Masters in this field.
I love working with children of all ages, yet have a special love for the magical Kindergarten year. It truly is quite amazing how much the children learn and grow within a year! In my free time, I love to explore and travel (Puerto Rico is my favorite place to go.) Furthermore, I enjoy being out in the ocean to snorkel, surf or swim, dance, read, ski and snowboard, do yoga, paint, write, listen to music and be with friends and family.
