Hello! My name is Dawn Beckner and I am thrilled to be joining the Swigert team this fall to help launch a new center based Special Education program. I’m excited for this next chapter to open both for Swigert and myself. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worn many hats in elementary education including classroom teacher, literacy interventionist, math interventionist, special educator, and most recently as a senior team lead coaching teachers and teams. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time training for triathlons, but my favorite thing to do is spend time with my daughter Olivia. We love reading, snuggling, swimming, pretending, making delicious vegetarian food, crafting, and going on adventures together. She will be a 4th grader next year at Swigert and she makes me proud everyday.
