Hi Swigert community! My name is Derek Lavezzo and I am so excited to be joining the Swigert team as the new 4th grade teacher! I will be entering my 6th year of teaching next year, all in the Central Park area, so I am a full on member of this amazing community. 90s Nickelodeon, Star Wars, and Harry Potter are my jam. I am a massive Boston sports fan (sorry in advance), my happy place is anywhere live music is, and I have a 10 year old pitlab named Shadow. I am so grateful for the opportunity to join this stellar school and cannot wait to get started with and get to know you all!
