My name is Kate McNamara and I’m thrilled to be joining Swigert as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year! I’m a proud Colorado native, originally from the Congress Park neighborhood. I’ve been teaching for over a decade and recently joined the Swigert community, bringing with me a passion for supporting students who benefit from a little extra support. I love helping learners discover their unique strengths and showing them how their differences can be powerful assets. Outside the classroom, you’ll usually find me exploring the outdoors with my family—biking, hiking, or off on one of our many adventures. I have three kids, including a 3rd grader and ECE at Swigert!
