I’m originally from the NYC area and went to undergrad at Lafayette College in PA. I received my teaching certification and Masters in Teaching Reading from the University of San Francisco. My husband and I moved to Denver 17 years ago from the Bay Area/Lake Tahoe and have been calling Colorado home ever since. We have three boys, one at Swigert, one at McAuliffe, and one starting high school at Northfield, and we love being part of this school community. I taught for 11 years until my youngest son was born, took time off to stay home with my children, and then returned to full-time teaching two years ago. I am very happy to be teaching again, especially first grade at Swigert! First grade has always had a special place in my heart. It’s a year of so much growth, so many milestones, and so many lost teeth! It was such a magical year for me as a child, and I hope to create an equally memorable experience for my students. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family and our doodle pups, going to the mountains, traveling, or listening to and seeing live music. I am excited for a great year ahead!
