Hi everyone. I am so excited to be returning as a member of the Swigert Fifth Grade Team! I am originally from Los Angeles, CA and moved to Denver two years ago! I got my Bachelor’s Degree of Education from Indiana University… Go Hoosiers, and my Master’s Degree from California State University, Northridge in Curriculum and Instruction!!! After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I worked in non-profit youth program management until returning to teaching. Since then, I have been teaching 5th grade for the last 7 years. When I am not teaching, I am playing, coaching, or watching soccer. I also love exploring this exciting city with friends, trying the wide variety of amazing restaurants this city has to offer and adventuring in the mountains… camping, hiking and everything outdoors is truly what rejuvenates me! I am looking forward to a great year!
