I’m thrilled to be teaching fourth grade at Swigert! This is my ninth year at Swigert and my sixth year teaching fourth grade. I especially love teaching at Swigert because of our focus on student agency and inquiry-based learning. I’m most passionate about teaching math and IB, but I also love helping students build confidence across all subject areas. I have a BA from Grinnell College, an MPA from the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master’s in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. I grew up mostly in Pittsburgh, PA, but have lived all around the U.S. and in a couple of different countries as well. When I’m not at Swigert, I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my husband, our 15-year-old daughter, and our two dogs.
