Hello, my name is Katie Olenberger – I love being a part of the Swigert team as a paraprofessional this year supporting kindergarten and 1st grade students as they embark on their elementary school adventure.
As a parent of a current Swigert student and a Swigert alum and now as a staff member, I’ve really loved being a part of the Swigert community since 2015. I’ve enjoyed helping out classroom teachers and students during reading groups and research projects as well as supporting the school at large however I can since my now 7th grader was in ECE 4 –- MANY years ago! I love getting to know the kids and supporting their growth and feeding their curiosity from a young age.
Prior to staying home with my children, I worked full time for 12+ years in various healthcare marketing communications and medical education-related positions at companies both in Colorado and New York City. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in political science from Bucknell University.
I moved to Colorado in 2004 from New York City to reignite my love of outdoors and establish and nurture roots in this community. When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling, exploring the mountains, hiking, camping, reading, biking, ice skating and spending time with friends and family.
