Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am Mrs. Corral and this is my 6th year teaching at Swigert and my 13th year working in Special Education. Prior to being a Special Educator at Swigert, I was a Special Educator for The Lab School of Washington, a private school for students with learning differences. I attended both undergraduate and graduate school at American University in Washington, D.C., receiving my B.A. in Elementary Education and my M.A. in Special Education: Learning Disabilities. I am originally from Maryland, but have loved living in Colorado for the past 6 years!
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my husband, Andy, my daughter, Esme, and our Border Collie, Tess! We love all that Colorado offers… hiking, camping, skiing, running, and spending time with our friends. I also have played team sports my whole life and love to play as much soccer and lacrosse as possible. Anytime I can be active and moving, I am happy! I look forward to a fantastic year of student growth and success and am lucky to share this vision with an amazing Special Education team and wonderfully collaborative Classroom Teachers.
