I am Mrs. Corral and this is my 10th year teaching at Swigert and my 17th year working in Special Education. Prior to being a Special Educator at Swigert, I was a Special Educator for The Lab School of Washington, a private school for students with learning differences. I attended both undergraduate and graduate school at American University in Washington, D.C., receiving my B.A. in Elementary Education and my M.A. in Special Education: Learning Disabilities. I am originally from Maryland, but have loved living in Colorado for the past 10 years!
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my husband, Andy, and my daughters, Esme and Shea. We love all that Colorado offers… hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time with our friends. I also have played team sports my whole life and love to play as much soccer and lacrosse as possible. Anytime I can be active and moving, I am happy! I look forward to a fantastic year of student growth and success and am lucky to share this vision with an amazing Special Education team and wonderfully collaborative Classroom Teachers.
