I’m originally from the NYC area and went to undergrad at Lafayette College in PA. I received my teaching certification and Masters in Teaching Reading from the University of San Francisco. My husband and I moved to Denver from the Bay Area/Lake Tahoe in 2006 and have been calling Colorado home ever since. We have three boys (16, 14, and 12) who attended Swigert and are now at Northfield High School and Denver Green School. We love being part of the Swigert community! I taught for 11 years until my youngest son was born, took time off to stay home with my children, and then returned to full-time teaching four years ago when the ideal teaching job came along: first grade at Swigert! First grade has always had a special place in my heart. It’s a year of so much growth, so many milestones, and so many lost teeth! It was such a magical year for me as a child, and I hope to create an equally memorable experience for my students. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family and our doodle pups, going to the mountains, traveling, being outdoors, and listening to and seeing live music. I am excited for a great year ahead!
