I am from Indianapolis, Indiana and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University. I studied abroad and through my travels I realized I wanted to live near the mountains, so I moved to Denver in 2006. I have been teaching in Denver Public Schools for all of those 16 years holding various roles. I have my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through the Language, Literacy and Culturally Responsive Teaching program at the University of Colorado. Through that program, I learned that my true passion in education is supporting Multilingual Learners. I’m the proud mom of two girls – Olivia who is 3 ½ and Ava who is 1 ½. We also have a basset hound named Floppy. I love being part of a school that embraces curiosity and the focus on making the world a better place!
